Our Services
In-Home Dementia Care Services
Structured, continuity-based support for moderate to advanced dementia. Care available from a few hours per week to 24/7 support.
What We Provide
Support for Both Safety and Cognitive Stability
Every service is delivered with consistency and intention — not as isolated tasks, but as part of a structured care plan designed around the realities of dementia.
Personal Care
Assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene — delivered with dignity and consistency.
Structured Daily Routines
Predictable daily rhythms designed to reduce confusion, stabilize mood, and prevent avoidable escalation.
Safety Supervision
Attentive oversight to support safety and prevent wandering, falls, or accidents in the home environment.
Meaningful Engagement
Activities tailored to cognitive ability that reduce isolation, support brain function, and improve quality of life.
Meal Preparation
Nutritious meals prepared with attention to preferences, dietary needs, and familiar routines.
Medication Reminders
Non-medical reminders to support consistent adherence to medication schedules.
Behavioral Support
Proactive strategies to reduce agitation and distress — not just reactive responses to behavioral changes.
Family Coaching & Guidance
Education and ongoing support so families feel more confident and less alone in navigating the progression of dementia.
Care Coordination
Clear, timely communication with families and thoughtful coordination with healthcare providers, care managers, and fiduciaries.
How Our Model Is Different
Dementia Care Requires More Than Physical Assistance
Caregiver Continuity
We prioritize consistent caregiver assignments to promote familiarity and emotional steadiness. Familiar faces are a clinical tool, not a convenience.
Structured Routines
Predictable daily rhythms reduce anxiety and prevent avoidable escalation. Every day is intentionally designed.
Dementia-Focused Systems
Care plans are intentionally designed around the progression of dementia, not layered onto a general home care model.

What We Do Not Provide
Guiding Light Dementia Care is a licensed non-medical home care agency. We do not provide skilled nursing or medical treatment, medication administration, clinical therapies, or emergency medical services.
Our role is to complement medical, hospice, and professional care by providing steady, informed in-home support tailored to dementia-specific needs.
